Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how LaunchSync ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information when you visit launchsync.website, create an account, or use LaunchSync. LaunchSync is an AI launch command center that helps small teams organize launch strategy, messaging, assets, outreach, and post-launch learning in one place.
We aim to collect the minimum information needed to run the service reliably and improve it over time. We do not sell personal data.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and optional organization details. These are required to authenticate you and associate your work with your account.
Workspace and launch data
LaunchSync stores the launch content you create inside the product. This may include launch plans, product positioning notes, messaging drafts, launch assets, outreach contact lists, feedback you collect, and post-launch debrief notes.
Important: you should not upload personal data, contact lists, or other information that you are not authorized to use. You are responsible for the lawful basis under which workspace content is stored and processed.
Contact form data
If you contact us through forms on launchsync.website we receive your name, email, optional company, the reason for contact, the message body, and whether you consented to a reply. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Email preferences and consent data
When you opt in to product updates or other communications, we record the consent event (timestamp, source, and the specific opt-in language presented). You can withdraw consent at any time from the email or in your account settings.
Product usage data
We collect basic, privacy-respecting telemetry about how the product is used — pages viewed, features clicked, errors encountered — to keep the service stable and improve it. Where possible this data is aggregated or pseudonymized.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies for authentication, preferences, and limited analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage settings.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and operate LaunchSync.
- To authenticate accounts and protect against abuse.
- To respond to support and contact requests.
- To send transactional emails required to deliver the service.
- To send product updates only when you have explicitly opted in.
- To improve the product through aggregated usage analytics.
- To meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
Content you submit may be processed by AI providers under data-processing agreements solely to deliver the AI features you request. We do not use customer launch content to train foundation models.
Data retention
We retain account and workspace data while your account is active. When you delete an account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period unless we are required to retain it for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up.
User choices and rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw previously given consent.
To exercise any right, email legal@launchsync.website.
Security practices
We use scoped access to production systems and least-privilege access controls. No service can guarantee perfect security. Our current security and compliance status is stated below.
Trust & security
Security and compliance status
LaunchSync operates under SOC 2 Type I compliant controls. The audit was completed in March 2026 and covers the cloud production environment and data handling policies.
- AES-256 encryption at rest.
- TLS 1.3 encryption in transit.
- 30-day soft-delete window and JSON export portability.
- RBAC roles: Admin, Editor, Viewer.
- Google Workspace SSO; MFA mandatory for Admin roles.
- Immutable audit logs for status changes from Draft to Approved.
- Subprocessors: AWS, OpenAI API Zero Data Retention tier, Stripe.
Model policy
User data is not used to train global LLMs. Workspace context is siloed through vector database isolation.
Human boundary
AI output stays in Draft status until a verified user clicks Approve and Ship. LaunchSync does not trigger external emails, posts, or API actions without manual approval.
International use
LaunchSync is operated from infrastructure that may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms with our subprocessors.
Children's privacy
LaunchSync is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact legal@launchsync.website and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the product or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
